“I have been impressed with the urgency of doing. Knowing is not enough; we must apply. Being willing is not enough; we must do.” Leonardo Da Vinci, he may be one of the most legendary acclaimed architects in the history of man kind. Architectural Engineering is the concept of applying one’s ideas and applying them to everyday life. To write is to record, but to record new ideas is to rewrite history.
As recording is the application of knowledge, it’s harmonically mixed into art. Not only are buildings and blueprints of structures, but the components tied to architecture are practically unlimited. The definition of planning and construction are distributed between three principles. Durability- to stand stable and last in good condition for a significant amount of time, utility- reliable and efficient, when used by people, beauty- acquires qualities to administrate pleasure to others.
As humanity developed needs to survive became a large part of everyday life. People needed shelter therefore architecture became a craft. The majority of settlements and establishments were rural, considering how much the population has amplified between now and then. However eventually urban locations aroused, such as Persia or Greece. North Africa, Middle East, and Europe were a large influence to architecture during the medieval period. Guilds finally developed and different corporations were formed, made up of groups. Renaissance was a monumental point of civilization completely changing all aspects of life and simply the way humanity itself processed, for example culture, religion, economy, government, war, and architecture. That’s when architecture was based into the category of engineering, along with many other components. Training for the field of architecture developed during the early 19th century, also known as the industrial revolution. Architecture later broke off into different branches, for example aesthetics, humanism, and arts. Machinery and mass production was vital to the industrial revolution unlocking a doorway and widening the field of Architectural Engineering.
The development of civilization depends on engineering and architecture. Today the field of architectural engineering is a well paying business and plays a big role in development. I definitely consider this a suitable job in my future and I’m sure many others think the same.
Good job explaining the history of architectral engineering. You have obviously explained that this job is extremely vital to our economy. Like you said "people needed shelter therefore architecture became a craft." Next time though I would try putting in some more facts, like how much money they make a year.
ReplyDeleteTanner A .it is good that someone spent s much time on this subject because it is th most well needed craft at this time in our lives
